Shades of Envy is the story of two best friends Feona and Kim. Envy is the genesis of Feona's friendship with Kim. Its It's safe to say Feona has always been envious of Kim since day one because Kim wasn't just a beautiful girl but she comes from a good household with nothing but love and support. Kim was also very popular in the later school years. Feona had a more difficult upbringing that scarred her. People always looked at Feona as a bit strange but the reality is Feona just wanted to be loved and accepted. The person she cared the most about was Kim but even as her best friend Kim and Feona go their whole lives before she realizes Feona's truth. The shades of envy is the catalyst for the friendship Kim and Feona have but it becomes apparent that the shades of envy just may be it's undoing.

As the story progresses, Mariah and Max's connection and passion for one another makes Mariah have an epiphany. Mariah has wanted to be a bride since she was a little girl playing with Barbies, hence the idea the Rented Wedding Party comes into play. This book is written in such a way where it is relatable to any reader no matter what ethnic background or sexual orientation. Each character in this book has their own unique characteristics which makes this a play full of romance, tears, laughter and raw emotion.
